Creetown Bowling Club’s surge in membership has seen it listed as the first case study for fellow clubs to examine on the SBA website.
The Dumfriesshire and Stewartry club had only 28 members when current club President Alistair Herries took that post in 2008 and his immediate stated ambition of having 70 members by the end of that season seemed wildly ambitious.
However the club now boasts almost 100 members and the innovative approach it has taken to widening its appeal within a small community is outlined in the case study, in the Development section of our website.
